Congratulations to all the girls who performed their routines at the KW watershow this past Sunday. I was happy to see the smiles on everyones faces as they showed off all their hard work from these past couple of months. I am excited to see what is to come in the new year! Great work athletes, and thank-you to all the coaches for making the start of the season an enjoyable one!
Merry Christmas and happy new year! Enjoy the rest of 2010.

After one week off, we are back at the pool!
After the World Trophy competition, we had a full week off to recover and rest. During my time off, I stopped by Cameron Heights pool to help assist the HP 13-15 team. Some of them have improved a significant amount. I was especially pleased to see how much Danelle Kovar has improved her extension :)
Keep up the hard work girls, it pays off!.
Today was our first day back at practice after our week long break. We only practice until December 17th (Friday) before we go home for our 3 week long Christmas holiday. Our practices commence again on January 9th. However, I am returning to Montreal a little bit earlier because I was accepted to Concordia University and my classes commence on January 3rd!

Home sweet home!
After a long week of competition, and an even longer day of travelling, I am finally home in Montreal!
Our team came out of the World Trophy with an overall fourth place ranking. Although we were hoping for a podium finish, we are exceptionally proud of our performances this past week. Last Friday was the first day of competition were we showed off our "acrobatic routine", placing third. In our thematic team and combo competition, which took place last Saturday and Sunday, we placed fourth. Our duet placed 5th. The combination of our routine scores gave us an overall 4th place ranking. There was a total of 7 countries that attended the World Trophy Competition; Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Canada, China, Japan and Egypt!
During our stay in Moscow, the tempatures were as low as -20 degrees at night time, and no warmer than -10 degrees during the day! I guess we are lucky for our "warm" temperatures in Kitchener!
I am still adjusting to the time change as Russia is 8 hours ahead of Canada's local time. Our team gets the rest of this week off to rest up after a long week of hard work. Thankfully, this gives me the opportunity to go home this week! I am catching a train tomorrow morning to Kitchener.. more travelling, yikes!
I will see some of you at the pool this week!
