It has been an enjoyable and relxaing past month for our training and summer holiday time. Next on our list is to prepare for the annual Centre of Excellence Trials where our team and other outside swimmers will gather for a new team selection process. This will occur the last weekend of August and will determine our team for the 2011-2012 season. The trials will consist of each athlete individually swimming a routine set along with various strength and conditioning tests. It is always exciting to potentially welcome new members to your team!
On another note, a group of swimmers from Granite Synchro in Toronto went to cheer on our Canadian Sr. National AA Team at the 14th FINA World Championships in China, following a one week training camp in the beautiful city! The girls on the national team just returned home from a one month journey through Thailand for a 2 week training camp and China for the 14th World FINA Championships where they brought home a BRONZE metal in the Combo event. Congratualtions girls!!
